Hi guys this is Lewis from authority Hacker and in this video they give you a Quick overview of Gumroad this is a Shopping cart platform and a membership Platform kind of bundled into one so Just just to show you how this works I’m Gonna go into the product tab and I’m Gonna add a new product and at this Point it will ask you to whether you Want to sell a digital product or a Physical product or anything else now I Found that this isn’t very good for Services so if you’re running a service Based business you probably won’t want To use Gumroad I’m not gonna go through The setup process cuz I’ve already set Up a product here and as you can see It’s pretty simple stuff you just give You a product to name you set a price You write a description and you upload Your file in this case I’ve just used an Image that this can be an audio clip or A video as well you also want to upload A cover as this will show on your Checkout page and you know I really just Like the simplicity of Gumroad it’s very Easy to navigate they’ve trimmed down The options you go into this tab set Your share URL you can limit the product Sales you can set variants so if you’ve Got different colors formats anything Like that you can add that in there you Can also generate your your coupon codes Here if you’re selling software gummer
Gives you the option to generate a License key now if you switch this into Preview mode you can see exactly how That’s going to look on the front end And if you click I want this brings up The checkout so again really Straightforward what you can do as well Is you can click into purchase flow you Can change the Buy button you can change Some information on the payment form and Also proceed you can also click into Style you can change your theme here I Do find that these are quite basic Changes just a few color changes really And you can override those here as well You can set the opacity you can even add In so Custom.css if that’s your thing and Really that’s the bulk of what Gumroad Offers you it’s very very simple but I Feel like that’s the the whole idea Behind this platform is to keep it Simple to allow you to sell your Products get your products and offer Things like subscriptions and payment Plans without getting too technical if I Head into the customers tab I haven’t actually sold anything as this Is just a test account this is where you Would see your customers and then you Can create an update so it has email Marketing built-in which is really Really cool and also you can set up a New workflow which again is another area
Of email marketing if you go into your Profile this will allow you to capture Email so you can send people directly to Your profile page and capture those Emails now Gumroad is also a marketplace As well so again this is a lot more than Really just a shopping cart but a lot of The function a handgun road is similar To that of Sam cart or a car or send out It just kind of has another layer that Allows you to upload and store your Files I really like gun road I think It’s a great platform especially at this Price point if they have a free plan as Well so it doesn’t hurt to try it out if You’re on the fence so that’s it for This quick overview and I will see you In the next video
